Senior Architectural Systems: The Hybrid Range

Hybrid is a new concept in facade supply. In addition to the existing range of high performance aluminium products, SAS now offer a range of composite windows, doorsets and curtain walling, combining the long life and low maintenance of aluminium externally, with all the benefits of engineered timber internally.

The Hybrid range enjoys the thermal efficiency of timber combined with the latest glass technology to achieve u-values below the current Building Regulation requirements.

The Hybrid range offers either natural or painted engineered timber internally - engineered timber eliminates the potential for warping or twisting. Externally the aluminium profiles are either polyester powder coated to virtually any RAL colour, either gloss, satin or matt. A natural anodised finish is also available. The combination of these materials means maintenance is minimal.

The Hybrid range is environmentally responsible - all timber is from sustainable forests and aluminium from hydro-electric smelters. At the end of their service life, all timber, glass, aluminium and fittings are fully recyclable.

Series 1: Casement Windows:

The Hybrid Series 1 Casement is an 83mm high performance window system, offering top hung and side hung projecting casement vents with multipoint locking mechanisms and friction stays, in addition to fixed lights and combination windows. This window has been security tested to BS7950, and weather tested to BS6375 Part 1: 2004.

Series 1: Inward Opening Windows:

The Hybrid Series 1 Inward Opening is an 83mm high performance window system, offering bottom hung and side hung opening vents with multipoint locking mechanisms , in addition to fixed lights and combination windows. This window has been security tested to BS7950, and weather tested to BS6375 Part 1: 2004.

Series 1: Reversible Flush Casement:

The Hybrid Series 1 Reversible Flush Casement is an 83mm high performance window system, offering top hung, top swing and side swing opening vents with multipoint locking mechanisms and reversible swing hardware where applicable, in addition to fixed lights and combination windows. This window has been security tested to BS7950, and weather tested to BS6375 Part 1: 2004.

Series 1: Doorsets

The Hybrid Series 1 Doors are an 83mm high performance door system, offering opening inwards or outwards door leafs on butt hinges, complete with lever/lever handles and a multipoint locking mechanism. This doorset has been independently tested to PAS23/24, and weather tested to BS6375 Part 1: 2004.

Series 2: Casement Windows:

The Hybrid Series 2 Casement is a 125mm or 150mm high performance window system, offering top hung and side hung projecting casement vents with multipoint locking mechanisms and friction stays, in addition to fixed lights and combination windows. The Hybrid Series 2 provides a clean symmetrical look with an aesthetically pleasing appearance, identical regardless of whether the window opens or is a fixed pane. This window has been security tested to BS7950, and weather tested to BS6375 Part 1: 2004.

Series 3: Curtain Walling

The Hybrid Series 3 Curtain Wall is a 50mm high performance zone drained stick system, constructed using a range of vertical mullions and horizontal transoms to maximise performance. The Curtain Wall has been tested in accordance with the CWCT curtain wall standard and the European EN 13830:2003.
